HEATING OIL SPILL POLLUTES CREEK The Merion Fire Company operated on this large fuel spill in the creek adjacent to the Philadelphia Skating Club, located near the intersection of County Line Rd & Holland Ave in Ardmore. Brookline Spill 3 and Engine 32 were special called to assist containing the spill by providing numerous booms and spill pads to attempt to absorb the large spill of home heating fuel that was polluting the creek, which came from a broken fuel tank in a residence on Spring Ave. in Ardmore. LOWER MERION FIREFIGHTER COMPETITION Today a group of Merion Fire Company Firefighters participated in the Second Annual Lower Merion Firefighters Competition. The event was held at The Haverford School under extreme haze and humidity. The Ardmore Firefighters took home 4 trophies and would like to congratulate the Penn Wynne F/F’s on there 1st Place trophy!
