House Fire
The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore assisted by Bryn Mawr responded to a report of a house fire at 421 West Lancaster Ave in Haverford on Tuesday evening. Firefighters made a quick stop on a fire in the living room. |

Santa's Brigade
The Active Members Club of the Merion Fire Company donated money to purchase Christmas gifts to those who are less fortunate.
"Santa's Brigade" is an organization that distributes these gifts to needy kids in the Delaware Valley. |

Car Fire During Storm
MFC was dispatched at 1:45 AM for a car fire on the corner of Holland and West Spring Ave. PD quickly confirmed that it was a well involved car fire. With members staying over night at the station, Engine 25 quickly made it out to extinguish the vehicle. Due to bad weather conditions, crews were back in service in an hour. |

Winter Storm
Chief Tom Hayden would like to thank all the firefighters who manned the station for over 30 hours, responded in the middle of the night to the fire call and helped protect the residents during our 100 year winter storm. |

Pot of Meat
The MFC responded to the 200 block of Laurel Lane in Haverford for an automatic fire alarm. As firefighters entered the home they were met with smoke from a fire on the stove. The smoking food was removed, the house vented, and the family dog named Q-Tip was given water and taken for a walk. Firefighters were on location for about 30 minutes until the home owner returned. |

Triplex Fire
The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore responded to 135 Grandview Road yesterday afternoon for a report of a roof fire in a triplex 3 story twin apartment building. Firefighters found a fire in the attic area in a third floor apartment. Command was set up, handlines were stretched to both sides of the twin and ground and main ladders were placed. A quick aggressive attack stopped the fire in this balloon constructed building.

FAST Team Drill
New members attended a drill at Station 25 conducted by Jim McCoy, Lower Merion Township Deputy Fire Marshall. It was an opportunity for the new guys to learn about the FAST Team concept, get them familiar with the tools they will need and go over the Drag Rescue Device that is built into our gear. The device is designed to help quickly remove a downed firefighter. |

Fumes in Building
MFC responded in the wintery mix to Whole Foods, Wynnewood for fumes in the building. Crews did a complete search of the commercial building and came up with no issues; units were back in service within a half hour. |
