National Firefighter II Certification
Recently all seven Lower Merion fire companies were represented in the Firefighter II certification class. The two month course was taught by Montgomery County Fire Academy to prepare them for a written and practical exam. The course covered the following topics: Fire Department Organization, Safety, Fire Alarm and Communication, Fire Behavior, Ventilation, Ropes, Ladders, FireHose/ Appliances/ Streams, Foam Fire Streams, Fire Control, Overhaul, Rescue, Water Supplies, Sprinklers, Response to Hazardous Materials Incidents, Fire Prevention/ Public Fire Education/ Fire Cause Determination, and Building Construction. Congratulations to those who passed their exams. |
