13th Annual Main Line Run
On Sunday the 26th of September several members of the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore participated in the 13th Annual Main Line Run in Wayne.
This race is the primary fundraising event for the Main Line Chamber of Commerce Foundation Scholarship Fund which provides financial scholarships to volunteer firefighters on the Main Line who are attending college. Fire fighters from many of the communities on the Main Line participated by running in the event, or by supporting the runners.
Last year five members of the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore received scholarships from Chamber Foundation. |

Smoking Washing Machine
The Merion Fire Company handled a washing machine reported as smoking at 219 Church Road in Ardmore. The company was in service for 15 minutes. |

FAST team dispatch
The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore was dispatched as the FAST team to a working house fire at 709 Fordham Road in Bala Cynwyd on 9-28-10. Team work controlled the fire quickly.

Light Fixture Fire
Merion Fire Company handled a fire on a light fixture at 109 St Georges Road. Firefighters removed the burnt clothing and ventilated the home. The Merion Fire Company was in service for 15 minutes. |

Neighbors Night Out
On the evening of Tuesday September 14th, members of the Merion Fire Company attended the Haverford Civic Association's 4th annual "Neighbors Night Out" event in Sharpe Park located at Montgomery Avenue and Haverford Station Road.
Members spent nearly the entire two ours that they were at the event giving tours of Engine 25 and discussing the Fire Company's day-to-day operations with members of the Haverford Community. |

Bryn Mawr State Store
The Merion Fire Company assisted Bryn Mawr Fire Company with an odor of smoke investigation at the Bryn Mawr State Store on Thursday afternoon. Companies were in service for about 20 minutes. |

Brush Fire
The Merion Fire Company responded to assist Bryn Mawr with a brush fire along the railroad tracks yesterday afternoon behind Harcum College on Montgomery Ave. As engine 25 arrived a member of the Harcum security staff required medical aid and was assisted by firefighters until EMS arrived. |
