At 3:30 in the afternoon Engine 25 handled a small brush fire on Hampstead Circle and Lancaster Ave.

Summer Camp / Fire Prevention

The crew of Engine 25 gave a fire prevention program to the children at a summer camp at the Ardmore Presbyterian Church.

37 East Montgomery

At 5:45 PM the Merion Fire Company was dispatched to assist with an accident with injuries at 37 East Montgomery Ave. 
One vehicle hit the building and three people were transported to local hospitals.

At 7:09 PM engine 25 handled a brush fire in the 300 block of East County Line Road in Ardmore.

Working Car Fire

At 9:50 AM this morning the Penn Wynne Fire Company assisted by one engine from Ardmore handled a working car fire in the 400 block of East Spring Ave by the South Ardmore Park. Firefighters quickly controlled the flames.

Ardmore firefighters handled a stove fire in the 200 block of Simpson Road shortly after 7:30 PM

The crew from Engine 25 handled a small brush fire at Whole Foods at Wynnewood and Lancaster shortly after 5:30 PM.

MLCC Scholarship Ceremony

Members attended the annual Main Line Chamber of Commerce Scholarship ceremony at the township building. Firefighters and EMTs from across the main line were awarded scholarships to continue their college education. Congratulations to the following Merion Fire Co. recipients:

Gas Odor

Crews from station 25 handled a report of a odor of gas t 16 Plaza in Ardmore at 9:30 AM.
This was the 3rd call of the day.

Wynnewood Whole Foods

At 1:30 PM the Merion Fire Company was dispatched to the the Whole Foods store in Wynnewood for a report of a fire alarm. While responding it was upgraded to a building fire. Station 26, Engine 23 and Engine 21 was added to the response.

Firefighters and the sprinkler system quickly handled a grill fire in the kitchen. 
Companies were back in service in 30 minutes.
