PEPPER SPRAY RELEASED AT BANK
Date: 11/28/06 A die pack of pepper spray exploded at Commerce Bank on the corner of Lancaster Avenue and Haverford Station Road.

GAS MAIN STRUCK
Date: 11/28/06 A contractor drove a pin through a natural gas line on Lancaster Avenue.

ARDMORE TOYOTA MAKES DONATION
Date: 11/28/06 Ardmore Toyota donated and dropped off to the station today a 50" Flat Screen TV. A special thanks to Max and Brad Paul the owners of the dealership.

SANTA AT SUBURBAN SQUARE
Date: 11/25/06 Santa made a quick visit today to Suburban Square trading in his reindeer and sleigh for now with our new house dog "Booster" on Engine 25-1.

DUMP TRUCK TANGLED IN WIRES
Date: 11/20/06 On Old Gulph Road today, a dump truck with driver inside got tangled up in some electrical wires. The wires did arc on the body of the truck. PECO cut the power and the driver was removed without any injuries. Stations responding: Station 25 (Ardmore), Engine 26 (Narberth), Rescue 21 (Penn Wynne), Rescue 22 (Belmont Hills), Medic 313 (Narberth Ambulance).

MERION FIRE COMPANY RECRUITS
Date: 11/16/06 Ardmore firefighters attended two career fairs today at Lower Merion and Harrington High Schools. The goal was to advertise the junior fire fighter program and to explain about how the volunteer fire service works.

ELEVATOR SHAFT FIRE WITH ENTRAPMENT
Date: 11/9/06 At 8:14 A.M., Station 25 was dispatched for an elevator rescue. Chief Hayden (25-5) called on scene and upgraded it to an elevator shaft fire with entrapment. Ardmore Station 25 (Full), Bryn Mawr Station 23 (Full), Belmont Hills (Rescue 22), Penn Wynne (Rescue 21) and 313 Narberth were all dispatched. The fire in the mechanical room was extinguished and the rescue was completed. The individual was transported to the hospital.

APARTMENT KITCHEN FIRE
Date: 11/8/06 A small kitchen fire was dispatched on Wednesday, November 8th. It was on the second floor of the Waterford Court Condominiums. The building was evacuated and quickly brought under control. Companies dispatched were Ardmore Station 25, Narberth Station 26 (Full), Union Station 28 (FAST Team), Gladwyne Station 24 (Air Truck), Penn Wynne Station 21 (Extra Pumper).

NEW M.S.A. AIRPACKS
Date: 11/6/06 Recently the Lower Merion Township Relief Association purchased brand new M.S.A 4500 psi ( high pressure) S.C.B.A.'s for six of the fire companies. These packs have been redesigned with safety and technology in mind. The frames can now be used to assist if needed in rescueing down firefighters. While the masks have been implemented with "blue tooth" technology. In addition the belts have been equipped with a 50-75 ft Kevlar rescue rope with rappelling hardware for bail outs. The "blue tooth" technology warns the fire fighter of their air supply at 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 of a tank, by small lights in their face masks. Training has been going on for a couple of weeks now and the new packs plan to be in service sometime soon.
